Dry rot commonly occurs when homes are past due for exterior repainting. Water seeps into and behind wood panneling because of cracks in the paint or when facial boards begin to separate from the house due to failing caulking.

Dry rot is a realitively common condition in older houses and we have lots of experience repairing it.

Once the repairs are completed and the new wood is installed the painting process can continue with the end result being the rotten area is indistinguishable from the unaffected area.
